Dr. Foster
Dr. Foster graduated from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, New York, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. At the City University of New York, he received a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and from the University of the West Indies, a Bachelor of Science - BS (Hons) in Chemistry. His medical training was completed at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein Hospital, New York - Internship. Residency at New York University Medical Center/ Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine-Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee – Fellowship, Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG).
His acupuncture training was completed at the American College of Acupuncture (NY), Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shanghai Medicine University (China).
Dr. Foster worked as an Attending Physician and Clinical Instructor at Emory University Hospitals, Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital, and Center for Rehab Medicine. He is a former Medical Director for The Rehabilitation Center at Southern Regional Health System, Riverdale, GA, where he served for ten years.
Dr. Foster has medical staff privileges at several medical centers in the state of Georgia. He is currently the Medical Director for the Center for Pain and Rehab Medicine in Stockbridge, GA, where his primary focus is Interventional Pain and Addiction Medicine.
He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is Board Certified in Pain Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Foster is the author or co-author of several scientific articles. The author of the books Foster’s Opioid Addiction Classification Status Guide and The Opioid Epidemic Consumers & HealthCare Guide. He also previously hosted a radio show called “The Doctor Show.” He is a Public Speaker and a Rehabilitation & Interventional Pain Medicine Consultant. He is also a member of several medical associations.
Dr. Foster is a strong supporter of many charitable organizations. He is currently the immediate Past President of the Morant Bay High School Alumni Association – Atlanta Chapter. He is also the Chairman and CEO of the D. Terrence Foster Foundation Inc. This organization focuses on the development, enhancement, and promotion of healthcare and education globally, emphasizing the under-served and less privileged of our society. He also serves on several boards of directors in the Atlanta area.
